Career vs Job : which one is more important?

Career is the ideals, ambitions, and goals of one's life in the long run in pursuing a field.

Job is an activity to replace someone's time, abilities, and labor with money.

One person can undergo more than one job throughout his career. A person can change jobs in a field, and still be considered to undergo the same career. However, changing careers is not easy and usually requires someone to start from zero.

The definition of job is:

1. A task that is carried out routinely and is valued with a sum of money.
2. Employment agreements at a company, whether permanent or part-time work.
3. Obligations for someone to do something, both physical and non-physical work.

Jobs are contractual agreements between employers and workers. A job is usually valued at a salary that is paid monthly. In the company's perspective, the main objective of the work is to generate more profits for the company, and in return, the company is obliged to pay salaries and benefits to all workers.

There are jobs that require physical exertion, such as construction workers, restaurant waiters, janitors, security, and others. There are jobs that require creative energy, logical skills, and management skills, such as graphic designers, administrative staff, restaurant managers, and other office jobs.


Career definitions are:

1. Profession of a person in a field, usually requires special abilities and dedication.
2. Progress of one's living conditions for the sake of pursuing his ideals and life goals.

Careers are more focused on one's life as a whole. People who are successful in their careers are usually people who have a positive influence on the surrounding community. Someone who is professional in his field can be a valuable asset for a company, can contribute greatly to the progress of the company, and is usually not replaced by others. The company cannot lose people like this, and it will lose money if the best workers resign. Because of this, companies usually dare to provide salaries that are many times higher than ordinary workers.

The most important thing is a career because the skills needed in a career are great, to succeed in a career, a person must explore a field of science, improve his personal abilities, and are accustomed to working on the activities in it. Earnings in career are also relatively large, the longer a person goes through his career, on average, the greater the income earned and the goal in a career is to pursue success and life satisfaction in general. Compared to job, the ability needed is not large, for certain jobs, almost anyone can do the job (usually physical work). To job in a company usually requires sufficient education and degrees. Income at work is relatively small, jobs that do not require special abilities are usually small wages, because workers are easy to find and replace and the goal at job is to get money quickly and in a short time.
